Volunteer Opportunity Available - Director of Website

Description  

The Director of Website manages the PMI Dayton Chapter website and is aligned to VP of Communications.

Deliverables

  • Maintain the PMI Dayton website
  • Collaborate with Chapter Board Members and leaders to provide website content 
  •  website design
  • Publish timely notices to the membership of all scheduled activities and meetings (including their location, date, time and subject matter) as well as all other Chapter business that requires notification to the membership
  • Develop and coordinate publicity for the Chapter and its events
  • Curate content, finding, and sharing information of interest to the chapter’s audience

Duties

  • Learn how to leverage every StarChapter function available to maintain compelling website content in support of chapter activities
  • Coordinate with Board Members and other volunteers to ensure web communication requirements are met for each event
  • Advise on the best way to integrate social media in the chapter’s website, marketing campaigns, and content publishing
  • Work closely with the VP of Communication and other volunteers responsible for the chapter’s online presence to present a cohesive digital identity
  • Provide administrative support for chapter website (as needed)
  • Report out activities, progress, and next steps each week to the VP of Communications and any other leader with whom you are collaborating
  • Have regular calls with the VP of Communications (at least 2x monthly)

Desired Skill Sets

  • Exceptional written communication skills
  • Enjoys developing communications that are visually appealing and engaging for members
  • Has experience maintaining website via StarChapter or similar interface

Time Commitment 

  • 1-2 hours per week and 3-5 hours in advance of an event
