Volunteers Needed - 17th Annual TechFest 2/16 - 2/17/2019

PMI Dayton is looking for volunteers to support TechFest 2019, which will be Saturday, February 16, 10 am to 6 pm and Sunday, February 17, 11 am to 5 pm at the downtown campus of Sinclair Community College (30I5 West Fourth Street Dayton, Ohio).
TechFest is FREE Family fun for youth K-12. There will be about 70 Hands-on demonstrations in STEM. There will be near 100 “Infotainment” speakers with information and entertainment. Over 75% of families stay over 3 hours. Parking is also free.
Since 2013, the Dayton / Miami Valley Chapter of the Project Management Institute has supported TechFest by delivering behind the scenes support. Many have provided skill and enthusiasm for registration, data entry, speaker support, greeters, Project Management wizards, preparation of registration bags, announcers, and more. Volunteers not only get the fun and reward of giving back to students, but they also get PDUs for volunteering!
We use the tool EventBrite to register volunteers. You can select your choices within Eventbrite to register as a volunteer by using the following URL:
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/techfest-2019-volunteer-registration-tickets-41509947370
Password to register and volunteer: TechFest-2019
You may register for as many 2-hour free “tickets” as desired. Members and friends can select their choice and quantity of tasks.
Ways to help assure the success of TechFest include:
- Promote TechFest at your local school
- Help with hands-on exhibits
- Promote TechFest with scouts and other youth groups
- Share information at your church, work place, school, etc.
Feel free to contact our PMI Coordinator of TechFest, Lyle Lockwood, with questions at [email protected] or 937-613-3645.
Thank you for your time and commitments! See You at TechFest!
