Regional Project Management Summit by the Dayton/Miami Valley PMI Chapter

Central State University, Dayton campus, November 11-12, 2016


  
The Regional Project Management Summit is a unique opportunity for project management practitioners, portfolio managers, program managers, organizational leaders, and others with an interest in project/program/portfolio management to come together as a community for two days of educational and interactive sessions.  Meet and learn from project management experts, and return home with the information you need to keep you and your organization ahead of the competition.  Network with your distinguished peers, share your own ideas and experiences, and make the connections that will help you take your career to the next level.


Interested in Being a Speaker at the Regional Project Management Summit?
Both PMI members and non-members are encouraged to submit proposals to present a topic at the Regional Project Management Summit.  Because the number of Summit presentations are limited, the presentation submissions will be evaluated by a committee of practitioners and academic scholars to ensure the best mix of high quality topics.  As a non-profit professional organization, the Dayton/Miami Valley PMI Chapter will not be able commit a specific speaker fee but there will be an honorarium which will be decided the chapter board.

Submission Requirements:
1)  Choose the area of focus for your submission:

  •  Leadership Skills & Soft Skills for Project Managers
  •  Managing Virtual Project Teams
  •  Program/Project Risk Management
  •  Program/Project Stakeholder Management
  •  Future of PMOs
  •  Case Studies in Project, Program, or Portfolio Management
  •  Agile Methodologies
  •  Program Benefits Management
  •  Program/Portfolio Financial Management
  •  New Research in Project Management
  •  Large and Complex “Mega Projects”
  •  Emerging Technologies and Social Media
  •  Earned Value Management
  •  Transitioning from Project Manager to Program Manager
  •  Impact of Economic Factors
  •  Special Interest for Industries

 

2)  Presentation Title - limited to no more than 70 characters including spaces.      

3)  Presentation Description - a brief description of your white paper and presentation which may be used to market your presentation if selected for the Summit.  Limited to 1800 characters (including spaces).

4)  Presentation Format:  Lecture or  Panel - can have no more than 3 members

5)  If the presentation has been delivered before, provide the date, location, and organization delivered to.      

6)  If the program is research-based, provide the nature of the research and the methodology used.  Limited to 1200 characters (including spaces).

7)  Presenter Biography - a biographical statement using paragraph form (rather than listing accomplishments) which will be used to market your presentation if selected.  You may also include a link to your LinkedIn, Facebook, or YouTube page(s).  Limited to 1000 characters (including spaces).

If your presentation is selected for the Summit, any of the information above may be edited for the Dayton/Miami Valley PMI web site or used in your Summit session introduction.
