Topic: What Does It Take for a Project Manager to Become a Successful Change Agent

Speaker: Jo McDermott - Principal, Catalyst for Change Consulting; former VP of LexisNexis

Speaker Bio:

Jo McDermott is an expert consultant to organizations on organizational effectiveness and change management for large organizational transformations. Jo has been helping global enterprises implement large strategic and technology changes for more than 15 years. Jo’s focus is on the people side of change including enterprise-wide business transformations, new technology implementations, and organizational systems and structures. Jo helps organizations through change leadership coaching to Executives, development and delivery of change plans, communication plans, stakeholder assessments and management plan implementations, team development, curriculum and training development and delivery, as well as change capability development.

Jo provides these services to Fortune 500 clients through Catalyst for Change Consulting which she founded in 2000. Before founding CFCC, Jo “grew up” at LexisNexis where she entered the corporate world after graduating from Georgetown Law Center. Jo worked in many functional areas and ultimately became Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness. Jo also was the Chairman of the Graduate Management Program at Antioch University Midwest where she taught Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Ethics, and Globalization and Organization Culture. Jo also coaches Executives on leadership and Project Managers on Change Management.

Professional Development Units:   All attendees will earn one Professional Development Unit (PDU) (in the area of Strategy) for use towards the Project Management Professional (PMP) recertification.
