Presenting

Team Chemistry: The Power of Personality Diversity

Thursday, September 21, 2017

5:30p - 8:00p

Abstract:  Team Chemistry: The Power of Personality Diversity

The value of diversity comes from acknowledging and allowing different perspectives. And, it’s typically built in organizations and on teams by including multiple ethnicities, genders, and individuals with varying socioeconomic and academic backgrounds.

But what about personality -- our basic character and temperament, natural motivations and automatic defenses? Shouldn’t we consider personality diversity when we structure organizations and teams in order to experience greater creativity, innovation and progress? If so, where do we start?

About the Speaker

Nancy Duvall Wagner is President of Vivid Insights Consulting. She spent her 30-year career as a lawyer and business executive and held leadership and team positions in a variety of areas including strategic planning, relationship management, marketing, sales support, product development and project management. Now she teaches the one critical thing she never learned about in school or on the job -- Emotional Intelligence (EQ). A couple of decades of research have proven that EQ aligns with greater success in the workplace and more effective personal relationships -- and it can be strengthened by developing self- and other-awareness. But how do you boost your EQ? Step into a class with Nancy and find out.
